
Ned Hillborough
Associate – InvestmentNed is a finance professional with a background in the banking and environmental land management sectors. Ned is ACA qualified, starting his career at PwC London in banking audit in 2019, working for some of the largest global financial institutions and subsequently with the Disruption & Innovation team (Strategy&) on the Net Zero Future50 initiative. After 3 years, he left PwC to complete an MSc in Environmental Technology at Imperial College London, specialising in environmental resource management. Most recently, Ned worked part-time as a nature finance analyst for Conservation Alpha, a pioneering consultancy that designs financial products to catalyse private sector investment into conservation across Africa. His focus was identifying opportunities for nature-positive enterprises at a landscape scale, through blended finance and bundled debt instruments. He worked on the UN’s global Nature Investment Facility, Rand Merchant Bank’s sustainable impact bond program, and the Tilenga Project with TotalEnergies and Ugandan Wildlife Authority.
